Support a Coastal Transformer MRO Programme Through a Local Partner
Our role: Equipment and MRO-component supply, interface checking and remote product support. The local partner retained responsibility for installation, inspection and on-site service.
Operating environment
A Southeast Asian industrial site exposed transformer auxiliaries to persistent humidity, airborne salt and demanding outdoor maintenance conditions.
Maintenance need
The local service partner wanted a repeatable spare package based on installed interfaces and observed consumption, not isolated emergency purchases.
Partner supply package
Breathers and desiccant, cooling-fan spares, selected protection parts, seals and adaptors with confirmed cross-references and export packing.
The problem was recurrence, not one failed breather
High humidity shortened the useful inspection cycle for exposed breathing systems, while salt and dust made seals, oil cups and mounting access more important. Replacing a single saturated charge would not improve the next maintenance event if the surrounding arrangement remained unclear.
The supply pack followed the site's maintenance pattern
- Breathing path: breather body, connection, oil-cup arrangement and desiccant indication were matched to the installed position.
- Cooling: commonly used fan spares were grouped by confirmed voltage, mounting and airflow configuration.
- Small but critical items: seals, adaptors and selected protection parts were included where their absence could hold up a planned visit.
Support was built around the local service team
ELETERGY supplied confirmed part references and standard shipment records needed to replenish the pack. The partner decided inspection frequency from site observations and remained responsible for field inspection, installation and maintenance reporting.
Result
The local team received a practical MRO package it could reorder and maintain against its own asset records. The arrangement strengthened the partner's service capability without placing ELETERGY between it and the end customer.
