Support Transformer and Protection Packages Through the Local EPC
Our role: Transformer equipment and component supply, interface preparation and remote product support. The local EPC retained responsibility for project design, construction, commissioning and local service.
EPC setting
A Latin American EPC was assembling a renewable-power package linking solar generation, energy storage and distributed power infrastructure.
Integration issue
Transformer, protection and monitoring-ready interfaces came from different workstreams but had to arrive as one coherent supply package.
Our supply scope
Transformer equipment, bushings, surge arresters, selected MRO spares and sensor- and gateway-ready interfaces.
One package touched several workstreams
The transformer schedule affected protection selection, cable terminations, future sensor points and the EPC's construction programme. Treating these as separate catalogue orders would have pushed interface questions into the construction stage.
Coordination followed the EPC's design
ELETERGY worked from the ratings, environmental conditions and interfaces approved by the local EPC. Where information remained open, it was flagged for decision rather than replaced by a supplier assumption.
Three handoff points
Electrical: transformer and arrester selections followed the EPC's equipment schedule and protection requirements.
Monitoring: terminal, sensor and communication provisions were defined so the local automation team could integrate its preferred platform later.
Logistics: packing and shipment references followed the same equipment tags used for receiving and installation planning.
Designed for local integration
The delivered package gave the EPC consistent equipment and interface references without tying the project to ELETERGY for on-site work.
Commercial boundary
ELETERGY remained the equipment and remote product-support partner. The local EPC retained the customer relationship, project design, construction, commissioning and ongoing service.
